Rosin the bow and watch the ashes fall
the smoke it lies heavy like a fog over the land
I'm past the point of feeling pain at all
like the way a shell slowly erodes into sand
but I feel relived to know we're equal now
recognizing even solid arches will fail
at thats something you'll have to figure out
realize the weight of blame lies even on the scale
I've listed all my faults, I've tacked my theses to the door
and yeah I've got them memorized for sure
and its true that every cent I've owned has slipped right through my hand
but that dont make me a bad man
The horns have blown the walls are tumbling down
through the smoke and rubble lies a path clear through to leave
we're past the point to reconcile now
like a weight once lifted makes it easier to breathe
but I feel relieved to know we're equal now
recognizing a rising tide will bring all ships ashore
and thats something you'll have to figure out
realize we're better than just better off before
I've listed all my faults, I've tacked my theses to the door
and yeah I've got them memorized for sure
and it's true I've made some choices that you wont understand
but that dont make me a bad man
that dont make me a bad man

Micah is one of my favorite songwriters around, and also an all around gentleman and scholar. Both his solo work and his work with Two Cow Garage seem to work their way into my regular music rotation with ease. doug shaw
