Obviously there are lots of the "boomer" generation trying to do the right thing, don't @ me, but damn near every oligarch in this country is of that same generation.
lyrics
We're growing old together
and look how far we've come
and everything we have
it doesn't matter if it all goes bad
because we're not going to be around to see it through
We're growing old together
like simple grains of sand
how they've washed away
but that's a problem for another day
Because there wont really be a change for me and you
But that's not the way the world works
we should be happy with the things we have
and still be willing to give something back
we need to choose which side we will be on 'cause people still need to live here when we're gone
We're growing old together
how happy does it feel
to see our life's work
buried with us when we're in the dirt
and we could sooner drive
a camel through a needles eye
than be welcomed in the halls of heaven
but that's not the way the world works
we should be happy with the things we have
and still be willing to give something back
we need to choose the side we will be on 'cause people still need to live here when we're gone
We're growing old together
(But still have time to change)
we're growing old together....

Micah is one of my favorite songwriters around, and also an all around gentleman and scholar. Both his solo work and his work with Two Cow Garage seem to work their way into my regular music rotation with ease. doug shaw

This guy has a something to say, he's really coming clean, some unpleasant truths too. "Hello, My Name Is Henry" is my favourite track. Excellent songwriting! Dietmar Leibecke
