about
So, we had the intention of making a new Two Cow Garage record this spring, but, like everything, that got derailed. This is a song that will eventually make it's way onto that record. be kind, i recorded it myself.
lyrics
we weren't supposed to live this way
no matter what the tv says
we're just trying to find our place
but we don't know why
and there aint no sense in spinning
trying to gain some traction
when they split all of the workers into delicate factions
you drown yourself in debt to try and shake some action
meanwhile Exxon and Monsanto cant' g-g-get no satisfaction
but they say its all okay
you're just a number anyway
we keep track of every face
in case you go awry
and there ain't no killing time it's all that we can spend
you edit all your vices into delicate trends
your private information's just a means to an end
that leaves influencers lonely l-l-l-like their facebook friends
oh no
its so much better to believe that
oh no
things were much better off before
but there's a beautiful beach sunset, just never mind the oil spill
big pharma says you're crazy, cheek that poison little pill
its an existential crisis, trying to find some kind of thril
if there's one thing that I've learned:
K-K-K- Kapitalism Kills
the world is tilting and we're all careening toward the edge
the world is tilting you could wake up and fight it
but you just go back to bed
there's a beautiful beach sunset, just never mind the oil spill
big pharma says you're crazy, cheek that poison little pill
its an existential crisis, either kill or you'll be killed
when you need to see the doctor but you can't afford the bill
it's a sisyphean task, go roll your back back up the hill
if there's one thing that I've learned:
K-K-K-Kapitalism Kills

Micah is one of my favorite songwriters around, and also an all around gentleman and scholar. Both his solo work and his work with Two Cow Garage seem to work their way into my regular music rotation with ease. doug shaw
